Elizabeth is a recent graduate from Stetson University with her Bachelor's Degree in English and Religious Studies. Rather than returning to her hometown near Birmingham, Alabama, she’ll be staying in DeLand working a part-time job with Academic Services at Stetson, and as a summer intern with Collective. She became involved with Collective after meeting Ben Collins while he was serving as the director of an on-campus organization at Stetson University. Elizabeth worked with Collective as a summer intern last year, and is excited to get involved with helping to organize and carry out events this summer again, as well as helping to create a permanent intern position for the fall. She has enjoyed chatting with the online community during services, and hopes to get more connected with them over the summer. She also looks forward to be able to attend upcoming Community Groups more frequently now that she has graduated. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys reading, writing, playing videogames, taking walks, attending weekly movie nights with friends, and watching way too much Netflix at one time.
In the future, Elizabeth hopes to begin pursue a Master’s Degree, most likely in Divinity, or in Library Science. She is excited to have the chance to take some time off from school and discover what her next steps will be. |

Sundays at 5pm. Come as you are. All are welcome.
We value highly the metaphor of journey. We’re different people from different places and backgrounds, representing an intergenerational community, and we’ve traveled different paths. So, we agree not to make assumptions about the person across from us, next to us, or in conversation with us. We challenge ourselves to be sensitive, knowing this community includes a diverse group of people from life-long followers of Jesus, to people who are just now open to the idea that God might exist. We strive to avoid offense, ask good questions, articulate and explain our responses. We don’t assume fluency in bible, spirituality, or Church language, because we believe the message of Jesus is not for Christianity, but for humanity. So, we do everything in the spirit of love and grace.
