Dear Collective Community, Partners, and Supporters, If you’re like Stacy and me, and many others who have found a place at Collective, you’ve struggled with these same frustrations and tensions. You may have tried a different church brand or music style, only to be disappointed with the same experience: Overbearing answers to questions you weren’t asking, simplistic-exclusive morality, and supernatural cliches that failed to address real life. Collective is a fundamentally different approach to faith and community. What I love about leading Collective is the freedom to lead by discovery. I have been profoundly changed personally, formed deeply through liturgy and practice, and continue to discover a more open, holistic faith and life with you all, through Collective.
Now is the time to view the important services Collective provides in our community as adding value and meaning to people’s lives in the congregation and beyond. And now is the time to recognize that it can only continue with everyone’s support. Those of us who already fund Collective are asking you to join us. Our goal is simple: to reach the monthly budget of $9,000 by September 29th, 2015. With over $4,000 already pledged, we’re nearly halfway there. Making a scheduled, automated gift is a simple and convenient way to help us reach our goal. Please take a moment to consider the value of Collective in your life, and invest in our shared future. Visit CollectiveGives.com to get started. Once you’ve registered, click the Scheduled Giving tab to set up automated giving via credit card, debit card, ACH or eCheck. This will count as your pledge. For a non-automated pledge, click My Account and add a pledge. Thanks in advance for your presence and support, PS - Scheduling your gift takes less than 2 minutes. Click below to get started:

Sundays at 5pm. Come as you are. All are welcome.
We value highly the metaphor of journey. We’re different people from different places and backgrounds, representing an intergenerational community, and we’ve traveled different paths. So, we agree not to make assumptions about the person across from us, next to us, or in conversation with us. We challenge ourselves to be sensitive, knowing this community includes a diverse group of people from life-long followers of Jesus, to people who are just now open to the idea that God might exist. We strive to avoid offense, ask good questions, articulate and explain our responses. We don’t assume fluency in bible, spirituality, or Church language, because we believe the message of Jesus is not for Christianity, but for humanity. So, we do everything in the spirit of love and grace.
