Check out the video for Turner's Pledge Drive Update, and introduction of the finance team. Then, read more for the detailed reports and graphics to which Turner is referring in the video. 3 Weeks left to make the budget!!! As a part of the pledge drive, we've doing a series of blog posts, reflecting on the humorous critique of John Oliver, regarding televangelism, religion and money, etc. This week we addressed how it is that financial oversight works at Collective, and promised that we would take a minute to introduce the finance team. In addition to our book keeper, Barb Furlong; And our accountant, Cris Pitchford; We have serving currently: Turner Swann, Kim Walker Bill McCullough, and And Steve Coffman. Ben and Jess also serve on the team. The point of the article, and of introducing these people, is to remind you that, like our liturgy, and like the responsibility to pledge and sustain collective financially, the financial oversight is also the work of the people. The team represents people with diverse finance, accounting, management, and administrative experience. We take the money you give, and the way it is spent very seriously. And we’re incredibly grateful for the way Collective is showing up to make the budget we’re aiming for a reality. Thanks for trusting us and taking responsibility for our congregation UPDATE This week we leveled off a bit after a very strong start. As you can see, with three weeks to go, we're right around 60% of the way there. One of the most exciting metrics is that we're already ahead of the number of pledges from last year, And we know there are more pledges and scheduled gifts outstanding. You'll need to create a new profile in the new platform, and reschedule your gift from scratch, entering the information as if you're a new user. Even though you're starting over, the process is simple and intuitive and takes less than 5 minutes. For a guided walk-through of the process, watch the Pledge Drive Intro. As you may have gathered from the graphics above, the 41% that we still need to pledge, amounts to around $3700 per month. We've already pledged over $5300 per month! If this is your community and you haven’t yet, please do consider the impact this financial support has on who we are and our future together. If you’ve never made a scheduled donation, please do. If you’re already a donor, and can help us meet the growing budget, thank you. Finance Team | Collective PS - Making your pledge and starting your scheduled giving is simple and fun! |

Sundays at 5pm. Come as you are. All are welcome.
We value highly the metaphor of journey. We’re different people from different places and backgrounds, representing an intergenerational community, and we’ve traveled different paths. So, we agree not to make assumptions about the person across from us, next to us, or in conversation with us. We challenge ourselves to be sensitive, knowing this community includes a diverse group of people from life-long followers of Jesus, to people who are just now open to the idea that God might exist. We strive to avoid offense, ask good questions, articulate and explain our responses. We don’t assume fluency in bible, spirituality, or Church language, because we believe the message of Jesus is not for Christianity, but for humanity. So, we do everything in the spirit of love and grace.
