We're so pleased with how this promo video turned out. The amazing Laura Landry pulled out all the stops to truly capture the feel and the posture of this community, and all in two minutes! Following the narrative arch and value story of our community statement, the voice-over in the video becomes secondary to the way the life of Collective is so vividly captured. The texture of our life together is witnessed in the laughter, passionate conversation, informal gathering and blending of acquaintances into friends and families. If you're wondering what we're about, or trying to communicate Collective to others quickly, this piece is invaluable. We value highly the metaphor of journey. We’re different people from different places and backgrounds, representing a multi-generational community, and we’ve traveled different paths. So, we agree not to make assumptions about the person across from us, next to us, or in conversation with us. We challenge ourselves to be sensitive, knowing this community includes a diverse group of people from life-long followers of Jesus, to people who are just now open to the idea that God might exist. We strive to avoid offense, ask good questions, articulate and explain our responses. We don’t assume fluency in bible, spirituality, or Church language, because we believe the message of Jesus is not for Christianity, but for humanity. So, we do everything in the spirit of love and grace. In addition to Laura's masterful filming and editing, we need to thank Bob Matusik and Stetson's Public Safety Department. They made possible a pre-dawn, sunrise filming session on the roof of the Lynn Business Center. This shot, the feel and lighting impacted and can be felt through the duration of the video. Thanks to Clark Orr, as always, for the inspired design work and branding that have communicated Collective for years. He continues to keep the brand fresh, which is felt powerfully in the video intro and outro bumpers.
To Collective and everyone who made this possible, thank you. |
