Collective Friends and Family,
Water is a basic need for survival. You and I are lucky enough to consume clean water on a daily basis without a single thought regarding its importance to our health and well being. Meanwhile, 663 million people lack access to clean water and 2.4 billion people lack the access to proper sanitation processes for their drinking water. Wine to Water is an organization dedicated to providing clean drinking water in a sustainable way through the use of local resources in the surrounding community.
Over the last 3 years, we have drilled more than 15 wells in Cambodia through Wine To Water, helping tens of thousands of people; hundreds of thousands over the life of each well. This life-changing organization has recently given me the opportunity to become a part of this powerful cause. Wine To Water has begun opening limited spots on their trips for groups like ours to go actually help drill wells, train locals, and do the work.
This is hopefully my first journey of many to Uganda, and making this dream become a reality would mean the world to both myself and to the community in Uganda. Living expenses in Uganda are $1,300, and the airfare for a roundtrip to Entebbe Kampala is $2,200, totaling $3,500 for the entire trip to Uganda. Please help me to assist those in need of clean drinking water. I ask you for your financial support and your prayers as I head toward this great adventure, on behalf of Collective. If you have the ability to give to my Uganda trip, in addition to the support you may give through Collective's budget, you would not only be supporting my desire to help, but also creating a healthy future for those in need. Thank you for your support.
There are a number of ways to give your support. If you pledge, automatically give, or support Collective's budget when you can, thank you! You're already helping support my efforts. If you can and would like to support above and beyond this, either login to your giving profile and make sure you select "Uganda" from the funds list. Or, simply follow the text to give instructions above and set up this quick and easy support platform.
Thanks for your love and support!

We are a misfit faith community that gathers in DeLand on Sundays at 5pm. Come as you are.
We value highly the metaphor of journey. We’re different people from different places and backgrounds, representing an intergenerational community, and we’ve traveled different paths. So, we agree not to make assumptions about the person across from us, next to us, or in conversation with us. We challenge ourselves to be sensitive, knowing this community includes a diverse group of people from life-long followers of Jesus, to people who are just now open to the idea that God might exist. We strive to avoid offense, ask good questions, articulate and explain our responses. We don’t assume fluency in bible, spirituality, or Church language, because we believe the message of Jesus is not for Christianity, but for humanity. So, we do everything in the spirit of love and grace.
